FACT: Examine Chart No. 2 – Tanglewood’s budget is approximately 2 million dollars more than 5 other schools that have about the same number of students. The annual teachers’ salaries are higher by several hundred thousand. This enables Tanglewood and similarly well-funded schools to hire more teachers and reduce the size of their classes. Also, their students have access to the necessary books and equipment. Source of information: FWISD – CFO’s and CPA’s office under the Freedom of Information Act.

FACT: A fully equipped phonics package, i.e., Frog Street, Jump Street, Smarty Ants, Achieve 3000, Reading Street, Neuhaus Direct Phonics, etc., should be available for each school (and not for just one classroom) to share. All students need the Chromebooks and laptops that students at other schools in the FWISD have.
